Female Vocational Center

The DLSC Female Vocational Center provides women with access to high-quality skills training in a safe, fully air-conditioned learning environment. The center currently has 20 working stations and offers an 8-month Sewing & Stitching program focused on practical skills that can lead to home-based work, tailoring income, and small business opportunities.

Impact:

So far, 80+ women have graduated from the program, with many earning an average income of around Rs. 15,000 per month after completing the course, compared to no prior income before training.

New Initiatives:

DLSC is now expanding beyond training by exploring garment manufacturing initiatives, including partnerships with wholesale garment vendors in Karachi and Naushahro Feroze, as well as school uniform supplier partnerships. These initiatives aim to create ongoing production orders and employment opportunities for female graduates.
